Bathroom Remodeling on a Budget

Bathroom Remodeling on a Budget

Bathroom RemodelingAlthough we spend a lot of time cleaning ourselves in it, it’s undeniable how bathrooms can get extremely filthy over time. Yes, we can clean it, scrub it, bleach it, and exert a lot of effort to make sure it’s tidy and sanitized, but over time, dirt can accumulate and simple cleaning simply won’t be enough. This is not to mention how your bathroom can look so outdated after a few years or so. And so bathroom remodeling may already be necessary.

Bathroom remodels can be quite costly. In fact, many spend thousands of dollars just to make an old bathroom look new. Not having enough budget for remodeling your bathroom must not stop you to do so. Here are some tips you can keep in mind so you can stay within a small budget:

1. Consider your bathroom remodel as an investment – Choose more durable materials like granite or quartz for bathroom countertops, vanities, showers, and more. It may cost a bit now, but you’ll enjoy a beautiful bathroom for many more years compared to just regular tiles.

2. Limit the tile area – Speaking of regular tiles, if you should tile your bathroom, limit the area only where you need it. Tiles can cost a lot of money. Hiring contractors to lay them down for you will even cost you more.

3. Paint what you can – Instead of replacing features, walls, and other items around your bathroom, consider painting them instead. Paint can easily make any area look brand new.

4. Repair damaged parts – When damaged parts of the bathroom can still be repaired, just repair. Replacements will cost a lot more for sure.

5. Keep your existing plumbing set up – The part that costs the most when remodeling a bathroom is when you change your plumbing set up. Leave the sink, bathtub, and shower areas where they are.
